Enysa is a post-baccalaureate who received her degree in Biology and a certification in Biomedical Sciences from Georgia Tech. She is currently seeking to start graduate school and aspires to eventually earn her Ph.D. in Bioengineering. Outside of research, she enjoys reading, playing Animal Crossing, and practicing the violin. Currently, Enysa is researching potential treatments for mitochondrial disorders.

Alina is a post-baccalaureate who received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. In the Patgiri lab, Alina is developing small molecules to restore mitochondrial homeostasis in disease. She aspires to become a plastic surgeon.
Abigail (Abby) Bartlett, Ph.D.

Abby received her PhD from Dr. Dave Pagliarini’s lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the Patgiri lab, Abby is leveraging her expertise in protein biochemistry to develop novel protein therapies for mitochondrial disease.

Poonam received her PhD from Dr. Avinash Bajaj’s lab at the UNESCO-Regional Centre For Biotechnology, India. In the Patgiri lab, Poonam in working on a chemical strategy to restore mitochondrial homeostasis in disease.
Louisa Hanson
Undergraduate Researcher
Louisa joined the Patgiri lab in the Spring of 2024. Louisa Hanson is a third year studying Biology on the pre-med track with a history minor. She is focusing on protein therapies for mitochondrial diseases, and is beginning to learn tissue culture. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and spending time outside.
Amogh Kulkarni
Undergraduate Researcher
Amogh joined the Patgiri lab in the Fall of 2024. Amogh is a junior studying Human health on the pre-med track. He hails from Southern California. Amogh is honing his molecular and cell biology skills to tackle challenging problems in mitochondrial medicine. In his free time, Amogh likes to watch and play sports, his favorites being tennis, basketball, and soccer.
